Training

Our training is made up of three units:

  • technique
  • single / duel fight
  • group or line fight

Training the techniques is the basis of the sport. The relevant move sequences are learned and supposed to be improved continually. These techniques are then used in duel or group fights (sparring). Group fighting is furthermore focused on tactics and strategy.

During our training we mainly use the following types of weapons:

  • sword, seax, saber
  • axe, longaxe (Dane axe)
  • one handed spear, two handed spear, glaive
  • big round shield, small round shield (buckler)

To guarantee the safety of our sport, internationally approved training systems are used.
